1966 was a great year, as I was married to the love of my life on July 3! Such an eventful time, the sixties decade, I can look back with happiness and sorrow. Living in Houston, Texas I can relate to the heat of summer. Even if I was lucky enough to have an air conditioned car, (I did not) I could burn myself getting in to ride anywhere. My tiny apartment did have a/c so it was a refuge. A trip to grocery shop never lasted long because most stores didn’t have much a/c either and the heat and humidity in that part of the US was intense. Some of the bands those days are comical looking, usually looking like this one or immaculately portrayed by the Kingston Trio. Since I brought them up, I included one of the videos and lyrics to the serious side of the sixties, “Where Have All The Flowers Gone” by The Kingston Trio.
