“I’ll say, Mike. I always thought this place was numinous, but now we have proof!”
“Numinous? What does that mean?”
“It means, this”’ pointing into the cave. The men had been in this cave many times but this time, they realized there was a presence there, not seen before. A hazy lavender glow surrounded a makeshift array of candles and pieces of old paper, looking like parchment, inscribed in a language they had not seen before.
“Whoa!” and were temporarily frozen in place.
