I find it peculiar A myth familiar Seen in present days A man’s impudent ways He took a peek From Pandora, a Greek And opened the box, it Let out the toxic Speeches and rules Put fear in schools In our homes and streets.
I relate this to today’s political scene and what Mr. Trump has done.” opened the box, itLet out the toxicSpeeches and rulesPut fear in schoolsIn our homes and streets.”
My take is he opened a toxic box….the reacism and hatred that before him, was more hidden and controlled by laws. Today, as is exemplary of the Callais/Louisiana rulling, we’ve lost so much.
Could speak to any era, but speaks clearly of the moment we are in.

Cheryl, I like how you use Pandora’s box to show how hurtful words and fear can spread today, making an old myth feel important in the modern world.
