dVerse Poets

What it takes to come out from under the covers, bare your soul? I don’t really know because I rarely do it. I just type out a blog every day, try to keep it rated PG at least, but I do sometimes wish to stretch into the “romantic porn” which is what one of my granddaughters calls it. It’s easy to write that type of story or poem, so I try to think inside the box most of the time. I’ve been “published” in small poetry books, but never took the plunge to write a book. Publication is truly baring your soul, your hard work, your efforts to please, really. I chose please because we all want to receive praise for our work, hoping for it, longing for just one person that really understands what you mean, what you’re talking about, and understand.

  1. Hi Cheryl! You’ve linked up your Prosery piece to the Poetics prompt, so I’ll delink it and would you mind linking up again to Prosery? I look forward to reading your poem on ‘Where does love go?’

  2. Yes. I do bare my soul on my blog, but that is what I want to do, raise awareness of mental health conditions, like did, complex ptsd, anxiety, also raise awareness of blindness, xo
