

“Okay Joe, now what?”
“We’re going to sit here and follow what the young kids are doing. It’s a protest. No fighting, just us sitting here, not working, and trying to convince the management we are serious.”
A manager comes out of his office and observes the men just sitting there instead of working. “You boys realize you aren’t getting paid today. How long can you keep this up? Don’t you want to feed your families?”
Joe speaks up. “When are you going to listen to our grievances? Your competitors are making money and you’re not, as long as you can’t produce! At least you can talk with us!”

Great argument! My late husband’s union went on strike a few times and it does hurt everyone but in the end they got a tidbit of what they were asking, so it works…as long as it stays peaceful.
