It wasn’t me, I swear it so

I was outside, I love the snow

See my paws are wet and cold

And I always do as I’m told.

What a mess, I’m sorry ‘bout that

It might have been the neighbor’s cat

I’ve seen him try to come in

Not supposed to be visiting

What? You have a baby cam?

Video of a cat causing a tree slam?

You think it’s me, oh my dear

I could never get that near

The tree is pretty, love it so

And as I said I was out in snow.

Uh, okay, I saw a pretty bauble

Knew I’d get into trouble

I wanted to see the shine

Paw got stuck on its twine

And then down it came

I know, I have no shame.
