“The future gathers in vine, bush, and tree: Persimmon, walnut, loquat, fig, and grape.” From the poem “Time and the Garden.”

Please also include the dVerse link in your published piece.

Here’s how to take part in the Prosery Prompt:

“The future gathers in vine, bush, and tree: Persimmon, walnut, loquat, fig, and grape”and of all these lush delights, I choose the grape. A single grape dangling delicately from a group, is delicious on its own. Each green orb harvesting into red, purple, or blue, is much more interesting than a walnut or fig. Wineries take these bunches of grapes and transform them into delectable liquid forms. Different sizes and colors of the grape determine which luscious wine is made. Juices, jellies, jams, all can be made from this flavorful fruit, as their growing, harvested, their future is decided.

  1. Beautifully done! I especially like; “Each green orb harvesting into red, purple, or blue, is much more interesting than a walnut or fig.”
