Blue

I think of it as a miracle when I see a flower that is blue. Flowers are usually white, pink, yellow, red, even orange and purple, but a vibrant blue takes the cake. Speaking of cakes, have you ever eaten blue frosting on a cake? That is a sure way to dye your teeth.
I’m not as serious as possibly I should be with this post about blue. I try not to be in a blue mood and if I am it doesn’t last long. The days can sometimes come at you like a canon and you think “I can’t stand this. Why is this happening to me? What have I done to deserve this.”
This last year has been tough and it’s been tough on the whole family. My daughter started a new job and that takes her away from her last daughter who graduated as a senior from our high school here in Cheyenne. August 11 she will be leaving for college in South Dakota. I know as having my daughter leave for college and at the same time we left for Houston from Denver – that was extremely rough on my husband and I and we went through about two years of being very blue. Blue times have come and gone as they do in every family, but when I think of my granddaughter going to college in a very nice place and being able to play soccer which she loves, it will make us all happy. I love blue in almost all forms, especially blue eyes, which get my attention anytime I meet a new person . Bring on the blue!
