He thought his words were deep,
a special meaning he construed
His teacher thought much less,
said they were shallow and misused
The grade caused a tear,
student faced a dismal sight,
The teacher ignored him,
her expression remained bright.
Many teachers guide a child with praise,
while others cause an ego to be grazed.

The Bag Lady 
As a former teacher, this made me sad. I worked with people like that who should never have been educators.
