A busy morning, we all have them. The alarm failed to chime, the baby wants breakfast and the rest of the family wants clothes found, lunches made, and a friend needs a ride to work because her car broke down. These are days when we just wish we could find a moment, even just one, to pause. Everyone needs that moment.
Draw the curtain. Faint applause
A moment for the act to pause
Smash the windows. Slam the doors
Bare your fangs, reveal your claws
Ignore this play, this set of laws
Reveal yourself as night time falls
The fearsome pounding of your paws
A dreadful hunger in your jaws
Your victims hiding, clutching straws
Till the devil in your heart withdraws
That we do!
