Seem enticing at the start

Tying hearts together

Not to be torn apart

The cardboard starts to fold itself as feelings tweak

“I’ve been locked inside your heart-shaped box for weeks”

Beginnings can be beautiful

So sad when the dream ends

Acts become dutiful

And romance doesn’t bend.
