24 Seasons Syllabic Poetry Challenge, No. 19, 1/30/24, Part II: Deep Cold
Bussokuseki-style is an archaic poetic device in which lines are written in a 5-7-5-7-7-7 mora pattern.

white stark scenery
blankets of the purest snow
arctic blue hues blend
sky and land seem intertwined
untouched by creatures or man
nature finds this secret space

Cheryl, your description of the “white stark scenery” and the use of sensory imagery beautifully capture the serene nature of the landscape!

Thank you. I felt I’d just be repeating myself with three stanzas but I’ll work on that☺️

That’s okay. Do what you feel comfortable with. Sometimes the words just don’t come. One is better than none. xx
