dVerse Poets – Claire deLune

Your challenge today is to choose a piece of instrumental music (no songs, but I am happy for you to choose a piece of jazz or instrumental rock if you don’t like classical music) that speaks to you, and write a poem either about the piece, including information about its composer and content, or whatever it conjures in your head. If possible, add a link to the piece of music.

lovely strings convey

the sweetness of a passion

treading lightly here

never loud exclamations

only serene affection

  1. So nice to hear this iconic piece on a guitar, after listening to the piano version. I love the words it inspired you to write, it feels like a perfect description of the composition, leaving enough room for the reader to be intrigued and experience it for themselves.

  2. I like that you chose the guitar version over the piano version, Cheryl. It’s beautiful and has such a different feel to it: ‘lovely strings convey the sweetness of a passion’.
