Welcome to the Saturday Mix – No Nonsense, 10 June 2023! You will be given a nonsensical, made-up word. You will need to come up with your own definition and use it creatively and in context, in your response. It is your choice whether you write using poetry or prose. Your nonsense word this week is: “strele” Remember, define it; then use it!
This word just made me laugh because one of my granddaughters is named Sterlie Abeni – she was adopted from Haiti and her middle name means “girl prayed for”. She is a beautiful tall model with a quirky personality who wants to be an actress. I laughed at the prompt because all during schooling – she’s now 25, no teacher would call her the real name, but instead Sterile. Even today people can’t seem to get their head around the correct pronunciation so it’s a joke in the family. It has to be, because people are thoughtless and uncaring, and you have to let things like this roll on by if you want to survive in today’s society, especially today.
It’s a gorgeous name and definitely not difficult to pronounce!

‘Girl prayed for’. That is a beautiful name even if doesn’t translate very good to English. I wish her luck in her goal.

I just heard back from my daughter and she said that yes there was a helicopter, but she didn’t know if it was a real one and that the theater was absolutely beautiful

If they had the copter it meant it was a #1 tour and not a cheap bus and truck tour. Hurray for Omaha.
