Six Sentence Story

Surrounded by green, the forest is flush with ferns. We hadn’t bought this property with the idea of building on it, just wanted a piece of my family’s mountain. We didn’t see it before we plopped down the payment and we decided it was time to let our kids see the area where I grew up. We knew it had a fresh water spring and that’s about it. The dirt path substituting for a road led us into this scene from a fairytale. Thick with trees and huge delicate fern fronds up to my chest, it was as if I was dreaming.
