Simply Six Minutes

Marie looked out the window, carefully pulling the drapes aside a tiny bit to see if they were still there. They were. Three heavily armored black vehicles that said “government”
is all over them even though there were no outside visible markings. Marie had seen them many times. She hoped that they weren’t here to pick up her whole family like they have other households in her neighborhood. The protest against the over powerful governor in her state promised to get even—actually said that on Fox News a few days ago. She and her neighbors were only expressing their right of free speech without incident at his latest campaign rally. The thought of what happened to the other neighbors who had been picked up was a thought she didn’t want to imagine.
