The hounds of winter barking

I’ve got my love to keep me warm

When carolers are larking

Making small footprints in the snow

In the gray, a hazy shade of winter

Roses from snow dot their cheeks, so cold

I won’t let it go, all the winter things

Lights, trees, and chiming bells that ring

My love is winter, no cold weather blues

A long December is what I will choose.

  6. LOVE the positive energy in this…..and all the titles used flow so well.
    Especially am smitten with these lines:
    “Roses from snow dot their cheeks, so cold” Just a great use of that title! I can picture rosey cheeks from the cold 😉
