It was only supposed to be a joke

A harmless laugh, just a slight poke

When Joey grabbed the remote

Knowing his parents forgot to invoke

The ratings on watching their new TV

What could be watched, what could be seen

Joey knew which channels they were

He laughed watching his parents stir

Uncomfortably on their old divan

When bodies appeared, nude to a man

Joey started laughing so hard

His folks dropped their usual guard

His mother fainted, his dad turned red

And Joey was told “go straight to bed!”

“It was just a joke” he helplessly cried

But his favorite dinner was denied.
