The Memorial

He sat in shadows thinking about the memorial to deliver the next day at gym assembly. A spy watching might think he was inventing a lovely speech to placate them. A teacher he privately despised and was told to memorialize was a segment of his career even though required, he felt he couldn’t do. This was the first time as principal he hated his job. The deceased didn’t deserve a rewarding commemoration, but he suspected he was the only one who realized it. The proof in hidden files were private. He labored over the words and finally decided to overgeneralize.
