the use of homophones* to build your
writing piece. You have two sets of
homophones and you are challenged to
use all of them in your response – which
can be poetry or prose.
Our homophone sets this week are:
bold – brave
bowled – knocked over
and
cannon – big gun
canon – body of law

You may think your bold persona
Strutting your cannon of lies
But there’s still some among us who aren’t so easily bowled
The canons of law will be your demise that justice will uphold.

I’m thinking of someone orange and odious as I read this. I live in a small rural town. People here are quite bowled over by the Annoying Orange. I just tell them I won’t talk politics. It’s probably a dead giveaway.
