Fandango’s Story Starter

“Don’t come any closer!” Julie’s hand was already shaking and now starting to sweat. She held the hot pan higher, hoping not to drop it–it was heavier than she thought the cast iron skillet to be. The warning didn’t seem to faze the fierce feline creature looking ready to pounce. The cat’s arched back and whiskers indicated she wasn’t about to retreat. After the long haired menace had jumped up and backed her into the corner, Julie grabbed the nearest thing to a weapon she could find. Now it was a battle of wills over the plate of fish sitting on the counter.
