I was texting my daughter today, a sorry for myself moment I’m not proud of, but here it is. I said sometimes getting older sucks the big weenie. We laughed remembering years ago when I first heard that saying in Stephen King’s movie adaptation of the novella he wrote as a teenager, titled “The Body”.

It was made into the movie “Stand by Me”, a must see if you love kids and I admit I was at the same age as the kids in the movie, and it brought back memories of conversations I had with my friends back then.

To me it is one of the best movies ever made from a Stephen King (under the name of Bachman) story. The story of the relationships of these boys is endearing.
