Election Day

I’m not on tenterhooks

I’ll choose instead a book

Not watching the well known aeolist

Or anticipate election news

I’m sure he’s glued to Twitter

His thumbs reveal his views.

I’ll ignore the weather

Even though it’s sunny

I won’t guess the lottery

I don’t have any money.

When this day is over

I hope we’ll find some peace

And jail that orange brain

With no hope for release

His endangerment of all of us

Beyond compare even in war

It’s overtime to remove this blot

On US history by far.
