They say she died quite surprisingly, standing o’er her husband’s grave

She was devastated by his death, but tried always to be brave

And on this autumn day only one year later

Sees her remaining hand above his buried alma-mater

So quickly had she died there, she seemed forever bound

Her now white desecration was the only thing they found

No one knows the reason she passed away that day

But the leaf white hand remains, forever there to stay.
