It is Faceless

It permeates the world

Slithering in and around your mind

Hate, discrimination, distaste

Turning neighbor against neighbor

It smothers love and communication

It hovers till you rinse it off

It takes a hard pelting rain, even a hailstorm

To diffuse it, rid your surroundings

Freshen your ideas and perceptions

Accept responsibility for your actions

Try to do better, teach your children to do the same

Without the storm there will be no change,

And no hope for togetherness as a people.
