It’s a privilege to get a good night’s sleep, as the older I get, especially the less active I am. Dreams are another thing, nightmares the worst when you wake up suddenly and hope it is not actually happening.
Taking our three children camping, close quarters in a tent or camper meant a parent’s sleepless adventure. It was amazing to hear my fully asleep children converse as if they were awake, while staying safely in their sleeping bags.

It is funny (sad?) how much of what my husband and I talk about is whether or not we slept well, how exciting to occasionally sleep through the night. When you have a few nights of little sleep the waking hours then feel like sleepwalking.
