I Never Want That Again

A trip to the spa or lady’s salon

Should be enjoyed, am I wrong?

Supposedly a gift where they perform

Also a place where most people conform.

A facial, a massage, a rub here and there

While you sit or lay in a toweled chair

A new experience, I admit for me

Especially at my age of eighty-three!

After laying me out in a hot foamy bath

And elbowing and pushing around on my back

A massage they called it, a torturous treat

Then wrapped me in leaves from my head to my feet!

Do what you will, ladies of wealth

But I’ll not return, I’m afraid for my health!
