“Okay sweetie, just sit on the stool for mommy, please?” Ethel had set up her tripod in the living room hoping to get Mimsy the cat to cooperate. The contest entries were due and she was hoping her beautiful cat perched on the stool would be a winner.
Ethel had tried everything, a soft pillow to entice her up on the stool, but as Mimsy jumped up the pillow flew out. Mimsy gave Ethel a look.
“Now Mimsy, let’s hop up so I can get a photo” as she placed a cat treat on the stool. Mimsy tried to resist. After all this was her house and maybe she didn’t feel like having her picture taken. Suddenly she jumped up and sat for about three seconds, devouring the treat. Ethel couldn’t get her into the camera frame in time and gave up on the stool. She left the tripod set up and fixed herself a cup of tea.
Later on she walked into the room and found Mimsy laid out on the stool fast asleep. Ethel smiled, “winning photo indeed”.

I’m always very impressed by people who do animal portraits. Trying to get Titus to sit still for a pic is almost impossible!
