MLMM Tale Weaver – Jobs

One of the best jobs I had was working in a sundries shop on the first floor of an office building. It was only a half mile from my home so I could even walk to work. The owner, C was a California native and her husband was an ex Denver Bronco football player.

We got along well and I think the entire experience boosted my self esteem. The hours were convenient, early at 7 and off by 3.30 so I could be home with my three teenagers. She was also flexible if I needed to leave for some reason.

I waited on the customers, prepared food, cooked, cleaned, and served our office building friends. We all got to know each other well. It was fun!

I do think the constant standing contributed to my back problems, but I was in better shape than ever. C was a tall beautiful woman and we took aerobics classes together–she was great inspiration😄.

The job ended as she and her husband moved back to California. She wanted me to buy the shop from them but I knew I would soon be joining my husband in Texas, as soon as our youngest left for college. I often wonder what would have happened if I had bought the business and where we would all be now.
