This recipe is delicious, a family favorite from the Colorado Cache cookbook. This cookbook was a lifesaver for me, moving from sea level to mile high altitude. I cup of milk with one teaspoon of vinegar added, can be an easy substitute for buttermilk. There are absolutely NO bad recipes in this book! One of the best features of this recipe for a busy mom–no waiting for it to cool to frost.🥰
