First, thank you Sadje for taking on this prompt!🥰

My claws are worn
My wings are torn
It takes effort to spread their beauty
It’s restful here
Causing no fear
Now soldiers do my duty
The days of old
When we were bold
And breathed our dragon fire
Now puffs of smoke
All I invoke
No longer a villain’s ire
Gaze upon this relic here
No more reason for your fears
The times are gone we held so dear.

Another wonderful poem in response to the Prompt, What do you see! A realistic view of a dragon’s life. Thanks for joining us Cheryl.

This is great poem. I feel for the poor dragon, now living a retired life. Thanks a lot for joining in the challenge Cheryl. I appreciate it.
