I chose one of my favorite arias from Puccini’s opera, “Madame Butterfly”. So beautiful, breathtaking, in my opinion, and yet the words are very simple. Absence and presence of a love.

I never knew what this was about so I just looked it up. I read that Madame Butterfly is a geisha who marries a Navel officer. I always liked this song of love and heartbreak, although I have no idea what they are singing about.
