Well look at that, who would have thought
She’d wear the funeral hat she bought
Black, covering her face with net
Obviously stating her discontent
Future mother in law at the wedding
No smile allowed and she’s forgetting
It’s not really her decision
Her appearance causes division
Dressed all in black including her hat
I’m sure the groom’s thinking “what an old bat“.

A great poem my friend. If the groom isn’t thinking it, I sure am. I’m very fortunate that I had a Mother-in-law that was a truly beautiful person.
