Sally stood in her sexiest underwear, hoping to give Jack the impression she hoped he would miss, but knew he wouldn’t. It had been two and a half months of his cheating and Sally hoped to be finally done with it–their previous relationship now broken beyond repair. Jack was a wolf when she met him and thinking he might change was defeating. She gazed at him in wonder as she recalled the first time they met.
She jabbed her friend Mary in the ribs, with the comment, “will you look at that?” as they saw Jack walk in and order a black coffee from the barista. “Way to make my morning,” Mary replied, and the two women were not unnoticed by Jack. He was used to women admiring him. After all, it took a lot of work to maintain his body and come hither look. He loved women and enjoyed his playboy lifestyle.
Taking off the necklace he gave her on their second date, Sally threw the trinket on the bed. She now knew it was offered as a prequel to the evening he had planned. The necklace worked, and they spent the night together. She was overwhelmed by him at first but later on the small gifts seemed like payment for services rendered.
Jack watched her throw it down and smiled, “worked the first time, didn’t it,” and laughed. “You’ll be back, they always come back”. At that comment, Sally picked up the vase of flowers he brought home the night before and it bounced off Jack’s perfect low fade.
