Joe(1): “Well that didn’t work!”
Joe(2): “I’m surprised you can even speak after being done in by a human–why did we even try to believe we could help?”
Joe(3): “I thought she was just a woman who needed help, not a vampire. Besides, who are you to talk, you fell for her story, too.”
“It was her vulnerability. I never suspected she was not a real live person. She was sweet and charming. I thought she needed our help.”
“We’re just a bunch of idiots, robots yes, but idiots. Now our brains are actually fried, certainly, and who knew she wasn’t affected by electricity?”
“Possibly the way she brandished that evil smile when she grabbed your arm and put it in the light socket?”
“Clueless idiots, all of us!”
“At least we’re still functioning! Once the current is totally blown, we can reset.”
Joe(1): “Okay, since I’m the biggest, have the most brain capacity, I need to point out a couple of things. This vulnerability you speak of, what were you thinking? She couldn’t bite us, really, and we can’t hurt her, so need I illustrate the point any further?”
Joe(2): “That we’re just machines who desperately want to be human?”
Joe(3): “That we want to feel love like a human?”
“Exactly.”
