Quite the savage seas, wouldn’t you say, Jeffrey? I’ve only seen a few as turbulent as this, usually on a freighter in the Atlantic Ocean. Nothing demur about the old sea mistress then; you’d have to hook yourself on the side as she’d plunge you deep and then surface again. The ropes were strong and the only thing that saved us.
The worst times I had at sea were right after I consented to be a crewman on the fishing trawler, Misty Maiden. Not safe like a freighter and the sea liked to toss us around, as if she didn’t want to give up her fish! I was young then and could withstand the rolling water, but now? I’m just glad to be on this big cruiser, Jeffrey, but I think I should pinpoint the way this ship is leaning! I think she’s listing too far to the…gasp!
