FFF Challenge #18

“All things created equal, I’d say this has been a great day.” Joe joined the office in raising their glasses of champagne celebrating the new addition. Joe was proud of the accomplishment, adding a balcony to the boring office setting. The extra space was large by San Francisco standards, and one entire side of the tenth floor now sported a wide patio.

Joe’s office drones looked forward to spending time working on their laptops in the fresh air and cooling mist coming off the bay. Joe’s idea was to inspire the team and he expected new ideas and more productivity from new found freedom. There were a few naysayers from the top, as always , but Joe persevered to see his ideas come to life.

The sliding doors access were large enough so anyone who decided to remain inside had full view of the bay also. “I have to admit you were right, Joe. This is what this old firm needed, rejuvenation. You took a concept and ran with it. Congratulations!” George gripped Joe’s hand tightly–almost a warning handshake. “Now we’ll see what the bottom line shows at the end of the month.” Joe downed his champagne in one gulp.
