It was a surprise, a memory gap,

between my conscious and what lies beneath
A fairy tale of youth and dreams
When everything is not as it seems
An unfilled wish of thoughts expressed
or maybe only memories are best
Not the present or even the future
Thinking of what might be, or conjure
Our minds only seek the best
And leave the others to lay at rest.
