What’s in a Name?

A writer of books, poetry and prose

He was very famous, heaven knows

The problem lies in interpretation

Or maybe lack of education

He wrote and wrote pages with glee

And though his works sold tremendously

His private thoughts were yet to be seen

Even now they remain ungleaned

The writer is quite at odds with himself

Keeping personal writings on the shelf

Until he felt the confidence of fame

Now hell breaks loose upon his name

His previous works were all a lie

Taken from another’s more masterful eye

And if it weren’t for a clever spy

With unwarranted fame, he would have died

His current efforts now discovered

Remain unread by previous lovers

Indeed his fame is now sullied

Former readers now feel bullied

Discovering the hero is just a faker

His published works now have no takers.
