It’s Easter Sunday here and thoughts
Of all the chocolate bunnies bought
Pastel baskets and cellophane grass
For every small lad and lass
Sometimes a trip to church
Hoping they won’t suddenly lurch
And bring a new Easter toy
While others sing of Easter joy.

At home the colored eggs are waiting
Hidden gems among yard slating
Hunted treasure fills empty sacks
Each child’s rush causing cracks
Even jelly bean plastic filled
Spilled on grass cause a thrill
Scavengers do their best
Then filled tummies nap to rest.

We’re doing fine. I got the photos of my granddaughter doing her first Easter egg hunt.
