When reading my posts, do you see an ad you have to push up to see the top of the screen, an ad in the middle of the post and at least two on the bottom of the writing?
It is irritating and distracting. Is this because I have a free site? It started showing up after I was forced to update this week.
Two ads on the bottom I could live with, but the added ones are too much.
I think the folks at Word Press are trying to publicly admit that they are rattle snakes and proud of it. If the ads themselves are not a disgusting form of abuse and intimidation I truly don’t know what is.

They are disgusting.

Yes, one ad in the middle and two at the end. I also see the “I am not following the blog”, which is odd as I received your blog post in my email. Will hit the follow button again and see what happen. Hope these issues will soon be sorted out. Good luck.

I hope soon. And if those ads are permanent on top and middle, I may have to find another place to be. Having your post it erupted by some ugly foot is not my style.

Lol. Not my style either. The adds that I saw on your blog were about some kind of tools. No ugly foot. Have you wrote to WP to let them know about this sudden change? It is perhaps related to the upgrade you recently made. I have not done it yet. And I am not going to do it now that’s for sure. Fingers crossed.

I was forced to do it. And I’ve written them but no response. Unless I did the upgrade they wouldn’t let me back into my site. Since I did it, the four ads appeared instead of two on the bottom. And what’s up with two identical ads on the bottom anyway?

That is a weird marketing strategy indeed. What an unpleasant situation. Hope things get fix soon. Good luck.

i don’t have these on my page..but then i have a paid account. I only noticed one ad that popped up across the top, but thankfully it stayed there as I scrolled down the screen.

Yes, can you see any on mine?

No, not on my phone app. I’ll check the iPad when I can.

I don’t see any from the iPad either.

I never see the ads on anyone’s post, though I know they’re there. But that could be cos I usually read the posts in the Reader, rather than going to the actual blog

The adds are part of having a free site yes, I don’t see adds on your site because I read your posts on the WP app reader, they’re more obvious when you use a browser. Updates are fairly broad so not necessarily related to free or paid. Just annoying I guess. Hope it settles down.

Actually I can not see any ads on your site, and I have opened it several times just to be sure. But the following indication does not work correctly seemingly. I noted this also in other blogs.

A big frustration for all I guess

Lots of bugs right now 😔

I only see the ones at the bottom, but with some other blogs, I see a ton of ads. It seems WordPress is getting more and more irritating. It also looks like I’m not logged into WP even though I am.

I get that too and then if I try to relog in it doesn’t accept my info

Oh okay. Do you use iOS/MacOS too? If not, could you put in a support ticket about this. I just did but I’m afraidd they’re going to say it’s an Apple product thing.

I have, no answer yet. I have ios on my iPad but same issues on my android phone app.

I only see one add on the sidebar at the bottom. Funny that different people see different things. I have noticed a lot more ads in general on everyone’s site. I don’t notice any ads on mine or maybe that’s because it’s mine?

Do you write as a business then

I don’t have a business account on WP and don’t pay for it either.

Maybe it’s the devices we all use that make everything appear differently? I’m no tech person.

I read your posts on my app reader so no ads here.

Enlighten me? I read and write on an app on my android phone and on my iPad app, both WordPress apps. Is that what you mean?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Yes, and the app or at least my app doesn’t show the ads. If you click on the visit tab, you get to the blog page where there are ads.

If it’s a newer person I like to click visit and read their about pages, etc

I do that too. But when you visit the blog page you need more time.

I only see the 2 at the bottom.

That’s good. Are you having to re follow people?

It’s weird. All of the sudden, a bunch of those I follow are still showing up in my reader, but the icon on their posts have the “+follow” button at the bottom instead of the “✅following” icon being there. Because they’re showing up in my reader, I assume I’m still following them. WP does some weird shit sometimes.

Three ads. Two just after the blog, one in the sidebar after the top posts widget. I also noticed that it’s showing I ‘am not following the blogs I am following.

Yes, me too. I have to keep refollowing – other people say the same.

I thought I unfollowed them. Infact they don’t even show up on my following list.

I have my app just sitting there and only a blue screen with w in the midfle. It sits a while then either goes black and I have to redo or it goes on. Lots of problems!

The bugs should be shorted out soon.

Yes, lots of ads ~ two at the bottom and one at the top. I don’t see them in the app, but I checked at your site since you asked. I couldn’t stand knowing they messed up my writing vibe, so I paid for a plan a couple months ago.

I’m paying for my blog name, not the blog itself. So many people here, I doubt they’re struggling for money.

I don’t put my own ads on. Unless you have an enormous following, there’s no money in it.

I don’t put anything on I just thought it was the two, used to be just one, on the bottom was WP’s way of making money.

I see one at the top, but it’s on mine too. Very odd. I also see that it says I’m not following blogs I am following, then when I go to them, it says you’re already following it. WP must me having issues!

I find the same is true. Two ads at the bottom okay, but on the top and middle? Frustrating…
