I stayed up last night, waiting for you to come home. I knew you might not come at all, our life has altered so. The light of our love, our relationship–the looks, the laughing, the touching, all gone like a dry autumn leaf, drifting away in the wind.
I thought I saw your shadow in the moonlight, coming up the front walk. I only dreamed it. It must be time for me to face the fact you are forever gone.
Love that line: all gone like a dry autumn leaf, drifting away in the wind
Great imagery
