Step lively
Dance to the music provided
It’s a holiday parade!
Never look to the side
The people lying in the doorways
Focus on the balloons
Put your attention towards the revelry
Macy’s windows decorated
All envied happy scenes
Never mind the pain you see
The hopelessness, loneliness
As they gaze wantingly
To join in the celebration
They’ll be okay tomorrow
It’s just Christmas, just another day like all the rest.
