Halloween night

It had been a rough day

Dressed in some rags

To scare ghouls away

Didn’t seem to work

Thought I was hip

But opening the gate

Saw kids curling their lips

Didn’t mean such a fright

On trick or treat night

Listening to them starting to w(h)ine

Donned a better costume

Then they were fine.
