I had a craving for Mexican fare
Felt taco telepathy might repair
A Saturday night all alone
My nephew I decided to phone
Busy tonight? I asked with a grin
Knowing I could always count on him
Have you eaten yet? I asked with hope
My car’s broken down, I feel such a dope
I think it’s just out of gas
Wondering if he’d just let that pass
I waited to hear his helpful response
And hoped I appeared nonchalant
Why no, I’d like to assist
Only one thing I must insist
I suddenly crave Mexican food
But I don’t want to be rude
Why how strange, I’d like some too
Ok, I’ll be there in a few
Wonderful, dear, and thank you!
