Time to Write #37

It was her first day of high school. Her long strawberry blonde hair pulled back from her face in braids and a blue shirt with jeans. The medium blue of the shirt drew attention to her large beautiful blue eyes.

It was a country school, no fashion statements were made by the students. It was a “wear jeans for everything” type of small town and still is to this day. She was a shy girl, a soccer and basketball athlete, well rounded by a library of pored over, well read books, and skilled in sewing and quilting as well.

Being shy did not masque her confidence however, and she could stand her ground with the best of them. The fact she grew up on a ranch with tending and caring for animals and a loving large family only rounded out her personality.

She entered the first classroom with strength given to her by this atmosphere.
