The kids were hot

I was not lenient

Ice cream for tots

Very convenient!

I thought it nice

And would suffice

To cool them down

While in town.

Eating something cold

Was not too bold

But the melting mould

Was getting old

Fast dripping cream

The heat won out

Even licking fast

It caused a pout

Temporary cooling

Was not fooling

No longer sunny fun
