Daily Prompt: Horizon

Cooped up in freezing weather

Sometimes I wonder whether

I should peek out, look for the sun

This is what I could have done

Instead I stayed in the darker warm

No adventure and no harm

But then as light surrounded me

I peeked back out and then did see

A precious gift on the horizon

Life’s much better when it’s brightened.

  2. Beautiful poetry and picture. I am sitting in the cold currently with my window open and a bird feeder outside my window hopeful a bird will pass by
