Merry day after Christmas! Probably a lot of you are busy out in the throng of shopping the after Christmas sales, not me. It’s snow piled slippery streets and 4 degrees F, so definitely not me. Even after a heater warmed five minute car ride home last night I could not get my legs and feet warmed up. Luckily I was so tired I fell asleep anyway.
It’s time for ceenphotography‘s Share Your World questions, so here they are with my answers:
1. What caring thing are you doing for yourself today?
I am dressing nicely, donning pretty sparkly earrings, and joining my family for a beautiful day.
2. List at least five of your favorite spices.
Sage, basil, chili, cinnamon, ginger, almond
3. What can you always be found with?
My backpack of supplies, phone.
4. What inspired you this week?
My middle son. He was always the first one up on Christmas morning, and yesterday was no exception. I received a call at 6:30 and woke to his message of thanks for their gifts. T and his wife live a couple of hours away, and F’s parents visiting from Paris, were there for Christmas. What a treat. Meeting them for the first time at the wedding a few years ago was a wonderful experience. Even though we didn’t speak French and they didn’t speak English, F is a professional interpreter so we did fine.
Thanksgiving we laughed so much with T and F, made our day. He is a rewarding son and they are a loving couple. I remember him in high school telling me that he was going to have a successful, in a suit, carrying a briefcase job. ☺️He started working at fifteen and was favored with a first job experience with a great boss. The principles he learned from that man have remained. I’m very proud of him.
