As they entered the arcade, Gin was looking forward to the ball pit, where the abundance of brightly colored spheres made her grin. Birthday parties in a busy happy location created a youthful atmosphere for Gin and her friends. The gathering to celebrate her own birthday might have been a burdensome task for her grandmother, but having it here was going to be easy.
Everyone threw their jackets on the “Reserved for Gin” table and lined up at the ticket counter. Each activity required a ticket to be punched by the attendee at each game. Gin’s grandmother provided money for the first ten notches and then the girls were on their own. Gin’s first choice of course was the huge ball pit. She yelled “cowabunga!” and the fun began.

Sharp isn’t exactly how I’d describe myself! Jesse said last night I’m only 17, reversing the numbers. He doesn’t realize that most of the time I feel ageless.
